This is wonderful riding country and the stables about 3 kms away have both horses and ponies. There are tennis courts in Suze and Bollène that are open to everyone and golf courses within 15 to 20 kms. The Uchaux hills, 5 kms from here are especially lovely for cycling but then everywhere is! More adventurous sports are climbing in the Dentelles de Montmiral near Gigondas(20 kms) and kayaking through the Ardèche gorges.

We will be happy to tell you about local markets and restaurants near here and about the vineyards when you arrive.

Places worth a detour while you here are the amazing troglodyte caves at Barry or the Forteresse de Mornas where you can see how life was lived in the 13th century. Children especially love the Peaugres safari park in the Ardèche and the crocodile farm at Bollène.

Throughout the year at various times there are village fêtes and concerts, classical music festivals in Bollène, an African music festival in St Paul Trois Châteaux, a Blues festival in Bagnols-sur-Cèze or a Jazz festival in Crest. Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine have famous choirs who give concerts in the cool of the cathedral or sometimes in the open air at the Roman amphitheatre. Avignon has a marvellous Theatre Festival in July with artists from all over the world and several dance festivals during the winter.
